The International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2018 has awarded the Bohigas Brut Reserva cava with a silver medal and an extraordinary score of 93 points, the highest ever reached by Bohigas in the contest. The Bohigas Extra Brut Gran Reserva cava, meanwhile, has also achieved a "special recommendation" in this year's edition.
The IWC is one of the best-known wine and cava competitions in the world and one of the most prestigious. Last year, the Bohigas Brut Nature Gran Reserva cava obtained a bronze medal and the Bohigas Brut Reserva cava, a special "recommendation".
The IWC 2018 silver medal for Bohigas Brut Reserva cava comes after, last April, the Topwine International Wine and Spirits Contest already awarded a Great Gold Medal to the same cava.
