Two Bohigas cavas receive a silver medal at the International Wine Challenge
The prestigious international IWC competition has awarded Bohigas Brut Reserva and Extra Brut Gran Reserva
The International Wine Challenge wine competition has celebrated its 39th edition and has awarded two cavas from the Odenense winery.
The jury for the contest is made up of a minimum of 8 experts in wines and cavas (sommeliers, oenologists, etc.), who have rated more than 6,000 wines from around the world through blind tastings.In the case of Bohigas, a silver medal has been awarded for each of the following cavas:
Bohigas Brut Reserva Cava: 90 points – Silver Medal
Jury's tasting note: “A wonderful basket of fruit here, including orchard and tropical notes such as passion fruit, pear and peach”
Cava Bohigas Extra Brut Gran Reserva: 90 points – Silver Medal
Jury's tasting note: "A pretty floral nose, with a creamy palate and a lovely lime and guava fruit finish."
In the case of cavas from Spain, only 14 received a silver medal, 25 received a bronze medal and the gold medal category was vacated by Spanish wineries.
