The Wall Street Journal selects Bohigas Brut Reserva as one of the best cavas for weddings
The Wall Street Journal newspaper has selected Bohigas Brut Reserva cava as one of the best wines and sparkling wines in the world for a wedding celebration.
In a report entitled "The best wedding wines", the prestigious American newspaper affirms that "a good wine for a wedding must have great appeal" and that Cava Bohigas "certainly meets this criterion." The critic who signs the piece -Lettie Teague- places it at the forefront of a selection of five wines and cavas, and at the same time qualifies it as an "easy to drink" and "tasty, but smooth, and slightly dry cava, marked with a bright note of green apple.
Bohigas is currently present in a total of 17 countries around the world and the winery exports 87% of the total production (620,000 bottles in 2015). For the foreign market, Bohigas is part of Terra Nostra de Vinos, a consortium made up of five wineries with different denominations of origin.
Although Belgium continues to be the main foreign buyer of Bohigas, with 40% of the market share in 2015, the sales that grew the most in the last year were those of the United States, with 18% of the total turnover (2015). This year, a further increase is expected; During the first five months, sales in the United States already represent 26% of the total.
