Good score from Bohigas in the Catalunya Wine Guide
Caves Bohigas wines show their excellent quality
In a year strongly marked by the pandemic, the thirteenth edition of the Guia de Vins de Catalunya has wanted to bring us closer than ever to local grape varieties.
The four Bohigas wines are made with 100% autochthonous varieties from the Anoia area and, at the same time, are monovarietals, each demonstrating the quality and personality of each type of grape. The Catalan Wine Guide, in its blind tasting this year, has rated all Bohigas wines with notes that are no less than excellent.
Udina white wine (100% white Grenache). Score: 9.27
Xarel lo white wine (100% Xarel lo). Score: 9.03
Inicis red wine (100% Sumoll). Score: 9.64
Garnatxa Negra red wine (100% Red Garnacha). Score: 9.54
During the blind tasting, more than 20 experts have rated more than 1,349 wines from 238 wineries in Catalonia and Rosselló. In addition, these experts have given their particular sensation about the aromas of each wine, which, in the case of Bohigas, is the following:
Udina white wine: Apricot, Melon, Sweet, Fresh, Banana, Aromatic Herbs
Xarel lo white wine: Tropical Fruit, Sweet, Apple, Pear, Lemon, Apricot
Inicis red wine: Strawberry, Raspberry, Orange, Fresh, Extraordinary, Currant
Garnatxa Negra red wine: Peach, Plum, Violet, Mineral, Medlar, Traditional
Finally, it is worth highlighting and thanking La Guia for its involvement with Catalan wines, which promotes local producers through all its tools and the # ViCatalà hashtag.
