Bohigas wins a silver medal at the IWC
International Wine Challenge contest awards a Bohigas cava with a silver medal
The prestigious wine competition International Wine Challenge has revealed its scores for this year. The most renowned wine experts worldwide have tasted and evaluated thousands of wines over 10 days, with a rigorous and strict voting system, in which one of the Bohigas cavas has received a medal and three cavas have received a special mention.
Silver medal for Bohigas Brut Reserva cava
The award-winning cava was the Bohigas Brut Reserva, with a blend of 55% Xarel·lo, 30% Macabeo, 15% Parellada and a minimum of 18 months of aging.
The evaluations of the professional judges have been very positive, awarding 90 points and a silver medal to the cava, and with tasting notes that demonstrate the quality of its aromas and flavor. The judges's opinion of the tasting says the following:
"Really open, full fruited nose with sherbet character and floral overtones. Bright palate with freshness and impeccable balance."
